Designer clothing marketing vet now about 5 months on the job as Kenneth Cole's CMO
tapped Amy Choyne as senior vice president and chief marketing officer in February to lead marketing, media, public relations, creative services and account management.
Before Kenneth Cole, she was executive director of marketing at among other companies.
She is succeeding Kristen Dykstra, who joined the Ann Taylor division of Ann Inc. as senior vice-president of brand marketing last year. Ann Inc. just hired MSL New York as its AOR after a three-round review.
Choyne reports directly to chief executive officer Paul Blum at the New York-based upscale clothing company.
Kenneth Cole spent $9 million on media last year – the bulk in magazines. The company reported a Q1 loss of $1.8 million in comparison to 2011’s $17.2 million in the same quarter.
DailyVista has reached out to Choyne and Kenneth Cole executives for an interview, and have yet received a response.
