Campaign Imminent: Ugg hires Camp + King to lead new men's campaign

Opportunity: Ugg, No. 44 in the Camp + King to lead creative for the fall Ugg for Men advertising campaign.  Patriots QB Tom Brady, the greatest of all time (GOAT!), will once again star in the campaign, so Pats fans should start getting comebacks ready for the inevitable insults that will fly from our Pats-hating friends (so basically everyone who isn’t a Pats fan). The campaign had to align perfectly with football season, didn’t it… ugg-h.

Sellers – Ugg typically leans on print but focus your pitch more on digital since this campaign will lean more heavily this time on digital and in-store channels.  Start reaching out now since planning should be underway. We’ve been told planning for spring usually begins around September/October.

Camp + King’s hire comes shortly after Morgan Halme, Ugg’s direction of global brand communications, was promoted to director of marketing for Ugg Men’s and Kids (research Palisades is over digital media planning and buying.

Media Spend: Since 2013, Ugg has spent about $5-$6 million annually on measured media, according to Kantar Media. Last year, spending skewed 60/30 to magazines and outdoor ads. Display and online video only made up less than 7% of spending, Kantar reports.
