Media Spend: Since 2012, most of Welch’s annual ad budget has gone to broadcast ads. In fact, over the years, print has fallen off and been re-allocated to TV, primarily cable.
TV Breakdown: Since January, $7.8 million has funded a flight from Jan-March (targeting right) compared to $10.5 million for three flights (April, June and July) over the same period last year, iSpot.tv reports. For all of 2014, $12.6 million was spent on national TV ads, down from $13.6 million in 2013.
Digital Breakdown: According to Moat, Welch’s has only run four display ads on four publishers this year (<1% mobile): z100.com, pogo.com, nwtimes.com and ktu.com.
