Opportunity: Reportedly has hired Starcom MediaVest Group, to handle its annual $10 million media account. The assignment includes planning and buying across traditional and digital, so look for new revenue opportunities across both areas. Keep in mind that Nickelodeon has been putting more efforts behind boosting marketing ROI recently.
Incumbent: Omnicom’s Goodby, Silverstein & Partners handled Nick’s media since 2010, and also created ads for the brand.
Recently Promoted DMs: In March, Viacom veteran Damon Burrell was promoted to SVP of consumer marketing and advertising (research here). He oversees consumer marketing, advertising, social media, CRM and data analytics for the network and planning for properties like “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles,” “SpongeBob SquarePants” and “Dora the Explorer.”
