Campaign Imminent: Isle of Capri Casino bets on new agency to optimize marketing

Opportunity: During the Q4 earnings call, CEO Eric Hausler said that the company recently hired a new marketing agency as Isle of Capri "continues to focus on optimizing marketing expenses." Hausler did not mention the agency name and we are still working on getting all of the information; however, we wanted to alert you immediately that a shift has occured.
Per Hausler, the new agency is in the process of rolling out "exciting" new media and advertising campaigns. Additionally, the agency is making improvements to Isle of Capri's direct mail efforts. This, Hausler posits, will get customer communications to the market faster and at a lower cost as it fully ramps up over the next few quarters.
Therefore, sellers should look for revenue as campaigns are launched by the new agency - particularly print, OOH, direct, spot TV and digital.
CEO Shift: Earlier this year, Hausler was promoted to CEO. He previously served as the company's CFO and replaced Virginia McDowell, who retired in April.
Media Spend: According to Kantar Media, Isle of Capri spent $3.8 million on measured media in 2015 - up 3.2% from 2014. A large portion of this - $1.8 million - was allocated to spot TV ads. The remainder went to OOH and search ads for the most part.
Digital Breakdown: Per Moat, Isle of Capri has run 30 display ads on 31 publishers so far this year (<1% mobile). Top ad destinations include beaumontenterprise.com, addictinggames.com, arkansasonline.com, care2.com and througtcatalog.com (54% placed site direct versus programmatically). For the same period 2015, the company ran only three display ads on two publishers, kmbc.com and komu.com (50% placed site direct).
