Digital Opps: Universal Music Group hires new marketing exec. to lead digital strategy amid global expansion (Score 30)

Opportunity: Named MixRadio veteran Jonathan Dworkin, as its new SVP of digital strategy and business development, where he will report to EVP of digital strategy, Michael Nash. Dworkin is joining the company at a pivotal time, as it focuses on expanding and enhancing its digital business on a global scale. In fact, in Nov. 2015, UMG stated that for the first time, it received more than half of its digital revenue from streaming services in Q3. 

So, look for Dworkin, with 20 years of experience working with both established and developing music services, to get the ball rolling quickly, as he already knows how to run partner negotiations with major streaming services. In comparison, for all of 2015, the company ran one high impact, one video and 28 standard display ads on 122 publishers (2% mobile), with 62% placed site direct.
