RFP: Scottsdale, Ariz. searching for agency to update tourism plan
DailyVista has learned that for an agency to develop a tourism development and marketing strategic plan that will guide the city during the next five years.
The plan will focus on the changes in Scottsdale’s tourism environment since it last conducted a study in 2005; emerging short- and long-term strategic issues; and the implications for tourism development.
The final report – including research, analysis, executive summary and an action plan – is due Dec. 3.
Questions are due by 2 p.m. local time March 1. They should be directed to Jim Swaziek, bid and contract specialist.
Proposals are due by 2 p.m. local time March 15.
This plan will guide the City, Tourism Development Commission, the (SCVB) and the local tourism industry.
Scottsdale, with a population close to 220,000, is home to numerous high-end nightclubs, restaurants, hotels, lounges and bars; cultural events, museums; and art galleries. The city is also where the San Francisco Giants play their spring training games.
