Rumor – Pitney Bowes delays rebrand campaign again to 2016, planning still underway?

Company: Pitney Bowes, Stamford, Conn.-based provider of services related to shipping, mailing, packaging and documents.
Opportunity: After tapping several agencies last year to assist with a rebrand (research here), a new logo and website were unveiled earlier this year. But there still has been no accompanying marketing campaign (hope it didn’t get lost in the mail). From what we’ve heard, the campaign originally slated for Q4 2014 was delayed to the summer and has been pushed back again to 2016. We haven’t been able to verify this 100% but we wanted to keep you posted, because it appears that PB is still planning and looking for media partners.
CMO Abby Kohnstamm told DigitasLBi, NYC is handling media planning and buying, according to The List.
Media Spend: Pitney spent $2 million on measured media last year, double what it allocated in 2013, Kantar Media reports. All of last year’s ad budget was directed online, most of which went to display.
Digital Breakdown: Since January, 32 display ads have run on 374 publishers (<1% mobile), 99% of which has been placed programmatically instead of site direct. News sites like chron.com and washingtonpost.com have made up the bulk of activity, according to Moat.
