Oce North America names new VP, Marketing
Oce North America, the U.S. branch of the international provider of digital document management technology and services, has named Francis McMahon vice president of marketing, according to the company.
McMahon brings more than 20 years of graphic arts-focused experience in business development, sales training and development, lead generation, marketing communications and analyst relations at Hewlett Packard, Eastman Kodak and Xerox to his new position at Oce North America.
He most recently served as Hewlett Packard’s director of marketing for the Americas. There, he was responsible for marketing activities that supported the company’s graphic solutions business.
"We are very pleased to have Francis join the executive team of the production printing business in North America," Mal Baboyian, president of production printing systems, said in a statement. "With his extensive graphic arts experience, I am confident that Mr. McMahon will help us expand our leadership in this strategically important market."
Headquartered in Trumbull, Conn., Oce North America provides solutions that allow businesses to deliver data over internal networks and the Internet to printing devices and archives locally or around the world. In 2009, the company reported that its North American operation represented 37 percent of Oce’s $3.7 billion in worldwide revenue.

, McMahon will manage all aspects of marketing strategy and execution. He will focus especially on building the company's growing presence in the graphic arts market.

MacMahon’s base of operations will be at the Oce North America Production Printing Systems headquarters location in Boca Raton, Fla.
A company representative speaking with WinmoEdge on background said it is premature to discuss McMahon’s new role and his future marketing plans because he just joined the company.
She did say, however, that Oce is a business-to-business marketer with target markets including commercial printers, corporate print operations, graphic arts printers and variable data service providers.
Also, she said the company advertises primarily in trade publications and does utilize social media.
Oce North America currently works with GyroHSR and Carro Ford Communications, according to our source.
According to The List database, Oce Business Services partners with Stamford, Conn.-based Creative Consortium International for it integrated marketing needs.
According to The Nielsen Company, Oce Business Service spent about $800,000 on media in 2008, almost all of which was spent on national magazine ads.
