Target Customer: One of Burlington’s ongoing initiatives for fiscal 2014 ended Jan. 31st is sharpening focus on its core female consumer: brand-conscious fashion enthusiasts, ages 25-49, with an annual HHI of $25,000-$75,000. 

Media Spend: Burlington spends about $80 million annually on measured media, skewing heavily towards network and cable TV ads during Q4. ISpot.tv reports that Burlington has allocated $66.8 million towards TV ads since January, representing 7.8 share-of-voice (SOV) in the clothing and footwear retail store category. This is level with spending last year. 

In 2014, the majority of Burlington’s TV budget has gone to ABC, CBS and NBC for buys during “Good Morning America,” “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit,” and “Criminal Minds.”
