Female Media Opps: PAM Cooking Spray debuts new campaign (Score 53)

The spot was created by Omnicom's here). When the shift was announced, it was also reported that DDB, Chi had begun work on "an unspecified brief," so sellers should be looking for not only PAM dollars, but for campaigns from various brands in ConAgra's portfolio.

Look for PAM to targeted food/recipe sites, as well as healthy lifestyle-focused properties, since the main message of the add is that PAM saves calories (and time). Digital and social outlays should be higher than usual since ConAgra wants to spend more in those channels

Currently, the bulk of ConAgra's media work is handled by Publicis's this news published in March doesn't help their standing.

Media Spend: Per Kantar Media, PAM spent $7.8 million on measured media in 2016, with cable TV, print and digital dominating the spend.

National TV Spend:

Spend was lowered last year, down from $5 million for the period from April 2015 to April 2016. Sellers should keep an eye on PAM, though, because the new campaign could signal that spend is about to begin climbing back up this year.

Digital Breakdown: Year-to-date, PAM has spent $73,000 on digital display ads (14.7 million impressions), per Pathmatics. The majority of these ads have been desktop (85%) and were placed through DataXu (52%) or site direct (42%).

For full 2016, the brand spent $371,000 on digital display ads - mostly run during Q4.
