Update: effective September 2020. Noto has been with Mohegan since 2007 serving in multiple marketing roles, most recently customer relationship management VP. She is replacing David Matinelli, and will now be responsible for the Mohegan Sun's Player's Club, VIP services, hotel sales & marketing, database marketing, sponsorship and special events. Noto will have an impact on both the current marketing strategy and agency roster.

Mohegan Sun to CMO of MGE, effective immediately. Martinelli will be responsible for leading the marketing team and expanding MGE into new markets, most notably Las Vegas. The marketing strategy and the company's agency roster could see some changes in the near future as a result of this promotion. 

According to Adbeat's estimates, the Mohegan Sun spent around $61.2k on digital display ads over the last 365 days, up 8% from $56.5k it spent in this channel over the 365 days prior. It placed 59% of these ads programmatically through Google Display Network onto sites such as wtnh.com, sina.com, nba.com, uconnhuskies.com and patriots.com. It placed 38% of these as video ads through YouTube onto youtube.com. Finally, it placed 3% of these ads site direct onto sites such as patriots.com, sinovision.net and nbcconnecticut.com. 

MGE has not placed a national TV ad so far this year, but per iSpot, it spent $288.5k during Miss America 2020. This is the only available spend information for this channel.  

Sellers-- The company primarily advertising though digital channels as opposed to TV ads indicates a younger target audience such as millennials and Gen-Zers. The new CMO may shift dollars to other channels, but for now offer digital display ad space. MGE also invests in local marketing methods such as OOH, print and radio. Local dollars are most likely relegated to the CT area for now until it opens the Las Vegas location.
