Business Decision Maker Media Opps: Citrix Systems selects new media AOR for ShareFile brand



ShareFile has not had a big advertising presence in the past, but spending, especially digital DR, should be on the rise. Citrix has more money now to pour into ShareFile advertising after here).  

Furthermore, creative agencies with similar B2B client experience should keep an eye on this account, as we know that creative reviews typically follow media and vice versa. 

Additional Insight

Media Spend: Citrix spent $17.8 million on measured media in the first three quarters of 2016, and $20.4 million for all of 2015, according to Kantar Media. The majority of spending went towards broadcast, followed by digital, print, radio and outdoor. 

ShareFile Media: $3.4 million was spent on on ShareFile's measured media in 2015 and $4.1 million the first nine months of 2016. 

TV Breakdown: Citrix ran its first national TV ad in Sept. 2016, according to iSpot data. The spot, titled "Yes" ran on USA Network during Mr. Robot and cost the company $70,444. The ad only ran from Sept. 14 to Sept. 26.  

Digital Breakdown: Citrix spent $3.4 million on digital display ads in 2016, Pathmatics reports. $2.4 million was allocated towards desktop, followed by $908,900 towards desktop video and $146,400 towards mobile. The ads were placed 58% site direct, 31% ad network on Google AdX + AdSense, Teads,  Criteo, AdRoll and Magnetic, and 11% DSP on MediaMath and AppNexus. Top ad destinations included, and 

ShareFile Digital: In 2016, ShareFile spent $21,200 on digital display ads, garnering 6.8 million impressions. Majority of spending was allocated towards desktop ($19,800), with the remaining $1,400 towards mobile. The ads were placed primarily through ad network channels Magnetic and Google AdX + AdSense.
