Campaign Imminent: The James Beard Foundation taps PR AOR (Score 44)
Wagstaff Worldwide as PR AOR to handle marketing and communications efforts related to its national programming, awards and leadership. This appointment will likely affect the organization's ad spend and may lead to additional agency reviews. The team will be led by Wagstaff managing director Valerie Wilson.
The JBF also appointed Tatiana Mena Ramos as marketing coordinator earlier in November.
According to Pathmatics, the JBF hasn't invested in digital ads since spending around $111.6k in 2020, a huge spike from the merely $500 it spent in 2019. In 2020, the organization earned roughly 3.7m digital impressions via Hulu (97%) and mobile display (3%) ads.
The non-profit tends to target Gen-Z and millennials via OTT; this may lead it to invest in the future in additional digital channels such as podcast and/or paid social. Spend will hopefully pick up to support upcoming work from the JBF's new AOR.
