Told Ya!, Male Media Opps: Former #2 Pep Boys moves media account, creative next?

We've learned that Philly-based executive team was overhauled last summer. Traditionally, the auto shop/accessories retailer advertises mostly during the spring and summer. So, sellers should keep going after potential last minute revenue, while setting a foundation for Q4, Pep Boys' secondary buying period.

Their advertising levels have been down since last summer, but spending should be back up with the executive transition complete and new strategy implemented. 

Agencies - The retailer's entire agency roster is all past average tenure (2.5-3 years), meaning media could be just the beginning of roster changes to come, if creative digital and other work hasn't moved already. We'll keep you posted as we learn more. Your competition will include IPG's Zog Digital (digital AOR since 2015).

TV Breakdown: $3.8M has gone to national TV ads since last May, none of which have run since June. reports that ads ran mostly during "Hannity," "SportsCenter," "The Kelly File" and "Impractical Jokers."
